Clay Events (clayevents.com) shares local events in Clay County, Florida. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information you give us
When you contact us, submit a story or event, or sign up for updates, we collect the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address and message. We use it only to respond to you and run the site. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages are popular.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site through heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity collects usage data such as clicks, scrolls and mouse movements, and does not record what you type into forms. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Advertising and links
Some pages may show ads or link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Clay Classifieds
Clay Classifieds (clayevents.com/classifieds/) is a free local board for business offerings, food trucks, food truck requests, yard sales and farm stands in Clay County. This is how we handle what you share there.
What we collect
- When you post a listing: the details you type in the form, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and one photo if you add it.
- When you contact a poster, or request a food truck or a spot: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
- When you report a listing: the reason, any details you add, and your email address only if you choose to give it.
- To stop spam: a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address, used only to limit how many forms can be sent in an hour. We never store the address itself, and the code is deleted automatically within 24 hours.
What is shown on the site
Your listing details and photo are shown after Alina approves them. Your email address and phone number stay private and are never shown, unless you tick the box to show them on your listing. Otherwise people reach you through a Contact form that forwards their message to your email, and they only see your address if you reply.
Messages sent through a Contact form are emailed to the poster and are not shown on the site. Food truck and spot requests are also copied to Alina so she can help connect you. Reports go only to Alina.
Photos are resized, and the hidden data inside them, including GPS location, is removed before they are saved. Pending listings and contact details are never included in our search results, RSS feeds, sitemaps or data feeds.
Review
Alina Penjiyeva reviews every listing by hand before it goes live, and may edit or decline any listing.
How long we keep it
Listings come down by themselves after their last date. Farm stands stay up for six months at a time, and the owner gets an email to reconfirm. Your email address and phone number are deleted 90 days after your listing ends. Declined listings are deleted after 30 days. Emails that were already sent stay in the inboxes they were sent to.
Events you submit
When you submit an event, your email address is used only to contact you about that event. It is never shown on the site or included in our data feeds.
Changes and removal
To change or remove your listing, or to ask us to delete your information sooner, email alina@clayevents.com from the address you used. We usually take care of it within a few days. Anyone can also use the Report this listing link on a listing to tell Alina about a problem.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
